SHLAN - Simple Hyper LANguage


Can you imagine a programming language with  the functional range of C/C++, with the document editing facility of HTML, with the high level functionalities of JavaScript,  and with the low level possibilities of MASM32 ?

Hard to find ?  Yes, but maybe you still know one or two.

But now, add this constraint : all this power must be packaged in a SIMPLE  language !

Oops  ... no more candidate  ...  no one  ... but  ...  SHLAN.

Power and simplicity,  hum ...  not an easy  mix to achieve .. Where is the catch ?

There is no catch. SHLAN sits on one thing that is HYPER important but that all compiler makers seem to have forgotten, in the last 10 years :

A nice and clean syntax !

If you pretend to know what is a "nice and clean syntax" AND  you like any of the actual languages, chances are good you will be really surprised with SHLAN (you will be agreeably surprised ).

But chances are better that you are like I was : you know what is NOT a "nice and clean syntax". If it's the case, just "play" a little bit with SHLAN, and you will yell:
YES ! I was sure it was possible !
